Product Description

The MPU-COMx is an ultra compact and lightwight addition to the Multi Platform computer processing units. Based on a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) COMx open architecture platform, and durable sealed aluminum chassis, the MPU COMx is designed for seamless processor upgrades and long operational life in harsh on-the-move environments. Total plug-and-play modularity in a single unified package sets the MPU COMx apart. The conduction cooled sealed chassis can house up to seven fully independent hot swappable processing modules—each module hosting the latest Intel or AMD processors and up to two rugged ultra-compact TP2 removable SATA hard drives.

Optional PCI expansion modules, including PCIexpress with enhanced graphics, allow for easy mission–specific customization in field deployed situations. The MPU-COMx provides program leaders the extreme flexibility in field–deployed computing. The speed and ease with which application specific configuration changes can occur is unrivalled. With a single unified chassis, a variety of easy to swap computer and expansion modules and easily accessible dual redundant power supplies, the MPU-COMx provides a cost effective easily upgradeable solution to the military’s long–term program cycles.
